While there are many published guides to places to eat and sleep on the Camino, there is little systematic information on places of spiritual refreshment for pilgrims. In order to fill this gap we intend to produce such a guide, the first version of which is is now publicly available.
Its purpose is to enrich, so far as possible, the spiritual experience of pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago. At present it is quite limited and only available in English. The initial focus is on the Via Podensis through France from Le Puy en Velay to St Jean Pied de Port and, from there, the Camino Francés to Santiago itself. It lists and briefly describes places where Mass and other religious service are offered specifically for pilgrims, opportunities for spiritual guidance and conversation, the sacrament of Reconciliation and so on.
You can download it here: Spiritual Refreshment on the Camino . It is also available at the page on this site with the same name, where it will be kept updated from time to time as new information becomes available.
We would greatly welcome comments and corrections on this guide, and especially additional information, to: email@caminoaccueilarthez.org
